#17. Are You Angry Yet?

I"Jeffery, it's time for school, get up!"  I heard my mother say those words many times growing up. And with those words came the sudden flicking on of lights and opening of window shades, letting the morning light "shock me" into movement.

Sometimes, we need "that something" to shock us out of our present, lazy, passionless, indifferent state of mind. Nothing is going to change for our good until we get passionate about changing it. Anger and sadness are both secondary emotions - meaning we are "feeling" that way because of something else. These emotions reveal to us that something is wrong. Often, getting angry or sad about a situation is the first sign you're ready to do what's necessary to make changes.

Until you get sick and tired of being sick and tired, you will keep being sick and tired.

John 2:15
" And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables."

John 2:17
" His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”"
